Martin Zimmermann
Eins Zwei Drei
Physical theatre, absurdity, extreme comedy, dance, circus, ingenious scenography, madness and a ridiculously skilled pianist in a production guaranteed to shake you up.
In Eins Zwei Drei, Martin Zimmermann uses three characters to investigate questions of authority, the abuse of power, submission and freedom.
These tragicomic figures use traditional clowning and Zimmerman’s poetic stage virtuosity to unite astounding physical talent with modern circus art and avantgarde theatre.
How will these three figures from the anarchistic world of circus survive in the strictly ordered environment of a museum?
The extremely comic, the absurd and the tragic are explored and developed in this piece. The more controlled the domain, the funnier and more monstrous the outcome.
